Acne is a skin condition where pores become blocked by oil and other debris, like dead skin. This results in pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, scarring, and more. Typically, acne is seen on the face, chest, shoulders, neck or back. When pores contain an excessive amount of oil, the pore will become blocked, trapping any dirt, hair, or other bacteria inside. This results in pimples, red bumps, whiteheads, and other acne conditions. Acne is commonly seen in teenagers and young adults. The skin conditions may arise due to medication, hormones, genetics, or cosmetic products. Today, there are many different drug options and treatment plans used to help treat and prevent acne.
