Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin renew itself. Tretinoin topical (for the skin) is used to treat acne, to smooth rough facial skin, and to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles and mottled skin discoloration. Avita is a topical drug used for the treatment of acne among other skin conditions. It is effective because it is a combination of tretinoin and clindamycin. In most countries, it is sold and known for trade names Veltin and Ziana. The medications included in this drug are clindamycin phosphate- 1.2%, tretinoin-1% and antibiotic- 0.025%.
