Ceftazidime is in a group of drugs called cephalosporin (SEF a low spor in) antibiotics. It works by fighting bacteria in your body. Ceftazidime injection is used to treat many kinds of bacterial infections, including severe or life-threatening forms. Ceftazidime may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Tazicef is a cephalosporin antibiotic which works by killing sensitive bacteria hence treating bacterial infections. You should not use Tazicef if you are allergic to any ingredient in it or if you are using chloramphenicol. Do not use Tazicef if it contains particles, is cloudy or discolored, or if the vial is cracked or damaged.
