When using eye drops, clean your hands to avoid contamination and then mix the eye drops well by tilting the bottle upside down several times. Open the vial right before you are about to use it. Look up and away from the dropper. Position the dropper above your eye, apply a drop and close your eye for a minute. Avoid blinking and rubbing the eye. Use each bottle for one dose only. Discard the remaining medication. Remove contact lenses if you have them before using Restasis. If you are also using other drops for dry eyes, wait for an interval of fifteen minutes to use the different products.
If you have a problem with these instructions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. Store this medicine at room temperature. Keep the bottle properly capped.
