Proleukin functions by mimicking a protein substance secreted in the body known as interleukin 2, which primarily regulates the response of white blood cells within the immune system.Interleukin 2 influences the immunes' system response to infections due to its effect on the differentiation of T cells. The active component within Proleukin (aldesleukin), is similar to the interleukins 2 protein and manages to curb cancerous cell multiplication by promoting the differentiation of the T-cells that fight off infections.
