Plegridy is an injection used in the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). Plegridy does not cure multiple sclerosis, but it can slow down the number of relapses of this disease or some of the disabling effects. Plegridy is a pegylated' form of interferon that works by attaching polyethylene glycol to the interferon molecules, enabling them to maintain biologic effects for longer in the body and allowing for less frequent dosing.
