Doxepin is a tricyclic antidepressants. Doxepin affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced. Doxepin (Sinequan or other generic name) is used to treat symptoms of depression and/or anxiety associated with alcoholism, psychiatric conditions, or manic-depressive conditions.
